Description: This B1.23.2 monoclonal antibody recognizes the human Human Leukocyte Antigens (HLA) B and C. Along with HLA-A, these proteins correspond to MHC Class I in humans. HLA-B and HLA-C are expressed on nearly all cell types and heterodimerize with beta-2 microglobulin at the cell surface. These molecular complexes play a critical role in the presentation of endoplasmic reticulum-derived peptides to immune cells.
Applications Reported: This B1.23.2 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: This B1.23.2 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. This can be used at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test.
488-561 nm; Emission: 578 nm; Laser: Blue Laser, Green Laser, Yellow-Green Laser.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
HLA-class I antigens are widely distributed on human nucleated cells. The intensity of HLA-ABC maybe altered in pathological states e.g. malignant cells may lose HLA-ABC, whereas hepatocytes in alcoholic hepatitis, biliary cirrhosis and chronic active hepatitis may show enhanced expression of HLA-ABC.
HLA and MHC antibodies play a significant role in Immunopeptidomics, facilitating the identification and characterization of neoantigens through high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem Mass Spectrometry.
