Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human MIG (CXCL9). Anti-Human MIG (CXCL9)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human MIG (CXCL9) matrix.
Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human MIG (CXCL9) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5-2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human MIG (CXCL9) (500-P50Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human MIG (CXCL9).
Western Blot: To detect Human MIG (CXCL9) by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 µg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant Human MIG (CXCL9) is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
MIG, also known as CXCL9, is a T-cell chemoattractant inducible by gamma interferon that is a member of the CXC chemokine family of cytokines. This gene is mapped to 4q21. It is noted that, although the best-described activities of the chemokines are as chemotactic factors, chemokines also have an effect on T-cell activation, angiogenesis, and HIV infection. While most CXC chemokines are chemotactic for neutrophils, MIG and INP10 are unusual and similar in being CXC chemokines that are chemotactic for lymphocytes and inactive in neutrophils.
