Cathepsin E Antibody (PA5-72460) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of Cathepsin E in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human lung carcinoma. Samples were incubated with Cathepsin E polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-72460) followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Target Information
Cathepsin E may have a role in immune function. It is most likely involved in the processing of antigenic peptides during MHC class II-mediated antigen presentation. It may also play a role in activation-induced lymphocyte depletion in the thymus, and in neuronal degeneration and glial cell activation in the brain.
