Product Specific Information
This antibody is suitable for ELISA and Western Blotting procedures. By Western blot, a 1:4000 dilution of the IgY was an effective probe for 1 µg of Toxin A. By Direct ELISA, the half-point titre was 1:20,000 using a 2 µg/mL coating of Toxin A.

Clostridium difficile is a species of bacteria of the genus Clostridium which are Gram-positive, anaerobic, spore-forming rods (bacillus). C.difficile is the most significant cause of pseudomembranous colitis, a severe infection of the colon.
