Invitrogen
FIGURE: 1 / 3
The Dengue Virus Type 2/4 Envelope gene is a target for research and development of vaccines and therapies for the Dengue virus. Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne viral disease that is prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions around the world. The virus has four serotypes, and infection with one serotype does not provide immunity against the others. The Envelope gene is responsible for encoding the structural protein that forms the outer shell of the virus, which plays a crucial role in the virus's entry into host cells and subsequent replication.
