AA Sequence of recombinant protein: GPASVPTTCC FNLANRKIPL QRLESYRRIT SGKCPQKAVI FKTKLAKDIC ADPKKKWVQD SMKYLDQKSP TPKP.
Preparation: Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Eotaxin (CCL11). Anti-Human Eotaxin (CCL11)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.
Sandwich ELISA: To detect hEotaxin by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human Eotaxin (500-P41G) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hEotaxin.
Western Blot: To detect hEotaxin by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 µg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant hEotaxin is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
500-P41GBT-1MG will be provided as 2 x 500 µg
This gene is one of several Cys-Cys (CC) cytokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity for eosinophils, but not mononuclear cells or neutrophils. This eosinophil specific chemokine assumed to be involved in eosinophilic inflammatory diseases such as atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, asthma and parasitic infections.
