MM500C targets Mouse GM-CSF in ELISA, and WB applications and shows reactivity with mouse samples.
The MM500C immunogen is recombinant mouse GM-CSF.
MM500C detects Mouse GM-CSF which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 14 kDa.
The MM500C mouse GMCSF antibody (clone 22E9) has successfully been paired as the coating antibody in a sandwich ELISA with detection antibody MM500DB (biotinylated conjugate of clone 31G6) Typical dilutions for sandwich ELISA include 1 µg/mL for coating and 0.125 - 0.25 µg/mL for detection.
Antibody MM500C (clone 22E9) and biotinylated antibody MM500DB (clone 31G6) have successfully been used in combination with recombinant mouse GMCSF protein SMGMCSF in ELISA applications.
This antibody is produced by injecting Rat IgG secreting hybridoma cells into the peritoneum of mice. The resulting ascites is collected from the mice and the antibody is purified.
This product has been tested for endotoxins by limulus amoebocyte lysate (LAL) assay and contains an endotoxin concentration of less than or equal to 10 endotoxin units per milligram (EU/mg).
The GM-CSF gene encodes for a cytokine that regulates the production, differentiation, and function of macrophages and granulocytes. The active form of the protein exists as a homodimer in the extracellular space. This gene is located in a cluster of related genes at the chromosome region 5q31, which has been associated with interstitial deletions in the 5q- syndrome and acute myelogenous leukemia. Other genes in the cluster include interleukins 4, 5, and 13. The gene is involved in promoting tissue inflammation. Elevated levels of cytokines, including the one produced by this gene, have been observed in SARS-CoV-2 infected patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome. Mice that lack this gene or its receptor have been shown to develop pulmonary alveolar proteinosis.
