Clone 1H7 recognizes an epitope in the alpha subunits of CD221, demonstrated by Western blotting, and is reported to partically block binding of IGF-I and IGF-II to CD221.
This product requires protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin sections using trypsin or pronase. A suggested positive control for immunohistochemical applications is pancreas or placenta. For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1x10^6 cells in 100 µL.
This product is a low-endotoxin, preservative-free formulation. Endotoxin level is <0.01 EU/ug.
IGF1R (Insulin-like Growth Factor1 Receptor) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that mediates actions of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IFG1). It binds IGF1 with high affinity and IGF2/insulin with lower affinity. Activated IGF1R is involved in cell growth and survival control. IGF1R is crucial for tumor transformation and survial of malignant cells. Ligand binding activates the receptor kinase and leads to receptor autophosphorylation and tyrosines phosphorylation of multiple substrates that function as signaling adapter proteins.
