Western blot analysis of JMJD2A in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with JMJD2A Recombinant monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-51401) using a dilution of 1:20,000 followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 30s.

Target Information
JMJD2A is a member of the Jumonji domain 2 (JMJD2) family and a protein containing a JmjN domain, a JmjC domain, a JD2H domain, two TUDOR domains, and two PHD-type zinc fingers. This protein functions as a trimethylation-specific demethylase, converting specific trimethylated histone residues to the dimethylated form, and as a transcriptional repressor.
