For reconstitution, we recommend adding 100 µL distilled water to a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL. To use this carrier-free antibody for conjugation experiments, we strongly recommend performing another round of desalting. (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7KMWCO, 0.5 mL, Product # 89882)
The gene MYBPC2 belongs to the myosin-binding protein C family, which consists of fast-, slow-, and cardiac-type isoforms. These isoforms are myosin-associated proteins that are located in the C region of A bands in striated muscle. The protein encoded by MYBPC2 is the fast-type isoform. Mutations in genes encoding the slow-type and cardiac-type isoforms have been linked to distal arthrogryposis, type 1, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, respectively. MYBPC2-related diseases include Lethal Congenital Contracture Syndrome 4 and Nemaline Myopathy 9.
