Western Blot using MYL2 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-78066). Various tissue extracts (50 µg) were separated by 15% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with MYL2 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-78066) diluted at 1:10,000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody.

Target Information
Thus gene encodes the regulatory light chain associated with cardiac myosin beta heavy chain. Ca+ triggers the phosphorylation of regulatory light chain that in turn triggers contraction. Mutations in this gene are associated with mid-left ventricular chamber type hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
