Prothrombin Fragment 1/2 is a protein fragment that is produced by the cleavage of prothrombin, a blood clotting protein. It is a small peptide consisting of the first half of the prothrombin molecule and is involved in the formation of blood clots. Prothrombin Fragment 1/2 is used as a biomarker for the diagnosis and monitoring of various blood clotting disorders.
