Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human TNF-beta. Anti-Human TNF-beta-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human TNF-beta matrix.
Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human TNF-beta by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5-2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human TNF-beta (500-P31BBt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human TNF-beta.
Western Blot: To detect Human TNF-beta by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1- 0.2 µg/mL. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human TNF-beta is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing non-reducing conditions.
TNF beta, a member of the tumor necrosis factor family, is a cytokine produced by lymphocytes. The protein is highly inducible, secreted, and forms heterotrimers with lymphotoxin-beta which anchor lymphotoxin-alpha to the cell surface. This protein also mediates a large variety of inflammatory, immunostimulatory, and antiviral responses, is involved in the formation of secondary lymphoid organs during development and plays a role in apoptosis. Genetic variations in this gene are associated with susceptibility to leprosy type 4 and psoriatic arthritis.
