TUBB3 Antibody (66375-1-IG) in ICC/IF

Immunofluorescence analysis of Human pluripotent stem cell-derived astrocytes with S100 beta (15146-1-AP) at 1/200 (Magenta) and neurons with TUJ1 (Product # 66375-1-Ig) at 1:500 (Green). The sample was fixed with 4% Paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with 0.3% Triton X-100. Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-Mouse IgG (1/500) and Alexa Fluor 594-conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (1/500) were used as the secondary antibodies. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue).

Product Specific Information

This antibody is specific to TUBB3 but not cross-react with other tubulin isoforms.

Target Information

The betaIII-tubulin isoform is present dominantly in cells of neuronal origin and it is one of the earliest markers of neuronal differentiation. It is regarded as a specific probe for the cells of neuronal origin as well as for the tumours originating from these cells. The betaIII-tubulin is most abundant in cells of neuronal origin, but was also detected in Sertoli cells of the testis and transiently in non-neuronal embryonic tissues.
