Invitrogen
FIGURE: 1 / 2
Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis Virus (VEEV) is a mosquito-borne virus that can cause severe illness in both humans and animals. The virus is classified as a category B bioterrorism agent by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) due to its potential use as a biological weapon. The NSP4 gene of the VEEV is a non-structural protein that plays a crucial role in viral replication and pathogenesis. NSP4 is a promising target for the development of antiviral drugs and vaccines against VEEV.
