FTIR in Forensic Analysis: Unveiling Hidden Clues

Watch the on-demand webinar now

The detailed process of detecting and investigating evidence often requires sophisticated analytical techniques like Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. With its ability to detect and identify substances on a molecular level, FTIR spectroscopy has proven to be an invaluable resource to anybody looking for clues about the presence of pharmaceuticals, narcotics, or a variety of other chemicals.

Watch this webinar, available on demand, to get an overview of what FTIR is, how it works, and how an instrument like the new Thermo Scientific Nicolet Apex FTIR Spectrometer can help reveal hidden information that could be a difference-maker in forensic investigations.

  • Get an overview of sample analysis by FTIR: We will walk you through the process of sample analysis using an FTIR spectrometer, highlighting the key steps and considerations for achieving accurate results.
  • Review the new and improved narcotics library collection: Fentanyl and its analogues have become a major concern in forensic investigations. We’ll show you an in-depth view of the new psychoactive compounds in latest libraries.
  • Learn about daily maintenance and instrument validation: We will provide valuable insights into the daily maintenance routines and instrument validation procedures to ensure optimal performance.
