The Human IgG Subclass Profile (Hu IgG) ELISA quantitates Hu IgG subclasses in human serum or cell culture medium. The assay will exclusively recognize both natural and recombinant Hu igG1, IgG2, IgG3 or IgG4.
Principle of the method
The Human IgG ELISAs are designed to measure the amount of immunoglobulin in the sample. Each Immunoglobulin subunit, IgG1, IgG2, IgG3 and IgG4 are added to individual wells and adsorbed to the bottom of the microplate well. Samples, standards, or controls are then added into these wells and bind to the immobilized IgG subunit. Following a wash step, anti-human IgG antibodies conjugated to HRP is added. Following another wash step, a TMB substrate solution is added that reacts with the complex to produce measurable signal. The intensity of this signal is directly proportional to the concentration of target present in the original specimen.
Rigorous validation
Each manufactured lot of this ELISA kit is quality tested for criteria such as sensitivity, specificity, precision, and lot-to-lot consistency. See manual for more information on validation.
Human IgG, also known as human immunoglobulin G, is an antibody that is produced by the immune system in response to antigens. It is the most abundant immunoglobulin in the blood and plays a key role in defense against pathogens. IgG works by binding to specific antigens and promoting their clearance from the body through various mechanisms, including phagocytosis and complement activation. IgG is also involved in other immune responses, such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and neutralization of toxins. Human IgG can be used in research to study the immune response to pathogens and to develop diagnostic tests and therapeutic interventions for infectious and autoimmune diseases.
