The InstantOne™ ELISA is specifically engineered for accurate measurement of phosphorylated human SMAD3 (Ser423/425) in cell lysates. The InstantOne™ ELISA kit allows for fast analysis of samples in approximately one hour. All reagents used in a traditional sandwich ELISA are added in solution to a plate followed by a wash step and detection with the TMB colorimetric substrate.
Suitable Sample Types
Tested on cell culture samples. Expected to work on many other sample types, but have not been tested at this time.
SMAD3 belongs to the SMAD family of proteins. They are similar to the gene products of the Drosophila gene 'mothers against decapentaplegic' (Mad) and the C. elegans gene Sma. SMAD proteins are signal transducers and transcriptional modulators that mediate multiple signaling pathways. This protein functions as a transcriptional modulator activated by transforming growth factor-beta and is thought to play a role in the regulation of carcinogenesis.
