For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 µg, 10 µg and 20 µg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 µL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase.
This AAK1 recombinant human protein (1-465) was expressed in insect cells.
The purified catalytic domain (1-510) of AAK1 can be used in a number of different applications, but has been specifically validated for use with our LanthaScreen™ Kinase binding assay technology to identify novel kinase inhibitors. AAK1 recombinant human protein is also available in our SelectScreen™ Kinase Profiling Service.
• Validated for use with the LanthaScreen™ Eu Kinase Binding assay
• Available in multiple pack sizes for convenient use
• Also available in our SelectScreen Kinase Profiling Service
Protein Form: Recombinant, Catalytic
AAK1 serine/threonine kinase is a member of the NAK family and plays a regulatory role in endocytosis. AAK1 is a member of the SNF1 subfamily of Ser/Thr protein kinases. The protein interacts with and phosphorylates a subunit of the AP-2 complex, which promotes binding of AP-2 to sorting signals found in membrane-bound receptors and subsequent receptor endocytosis. Its kinase activity is stimulated by clathrin.
