This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-53525. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Target Information
Galactokinase is a major enzyme for the metabolism of galactose and its deficiency causes congenital cataracts in the adult population. GALK1 sequence shares the greatest level of conservation, 44. 5% identity with that from E. coli and 34. 6% amino acid identity with the product of the human GALK2 gene.
