This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-52868. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Target Information
Specifically androgen-regulated gene protein (SARG), encoded by C1orf116, is a 601-aa protein considered putative androgen-specific receptor. SARG mRNA is highly expressed in prostate and can be up-regulated by androgens, but not by glucocorticoids. Little is known about the function of SARG to date.
