Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (78%), Rat (78%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-51667. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
USP51 (Ubiquitin Specific Peptidase 51) is a Protein Coding gene. Among its related pathways are Ubiquitin-Proteasome Dependent Proteolysis. Gene Ontology (GO) annotations related to this gene include cysteine-type endopeptidase activity and thiol-dependent ubiquitinyl hydrolase activity. Specifically deubiquitinates 'Lys-14' (H2AK13Ub) and 'Lys-16'(H2AK15Ub) of histone H2A regulating the DNA damage response at double-strand breaks (DSBs). USP51 is recruited to chromatin after DNA damage and regulates the dynamic assembly/disassembly of TP53BP1 and BRCA1. Exhibits also activity for 'Lys-27' or 'Lys-63'-linked di-ubiquitin.
