Marcel van de Put
Product Marketing Manager, SEM 

As the marketing manager for the SEM product line at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Marcel has worked with researchers across applications who use electron microscopy and analytical methods to solve a variety of problems in materials science. He earned an MS and PhD in physical chemistry at the Eindhoven University of Technology, where he studied biomineralization processes and used cryo-EM to characterize changes in material structure and coagulation behavior. He enjoys developing SEM solutions for novel and interesting applications and is currently focusing on expanding SEM capabilities to adjacent applications. 

Rogier Miltenburg
Application Scientist, SEM  

As a desktop SEM application scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Rogier works to remove hurdles in the SEM workflow to help users focus more on interpreting results than tuning the microscope. He has a background in life sciences and a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology, where he focused on using electron and light microscopy to study the cell-biomaterial interface and the effects of surface topography on cell cultures.
