Dr. Scott Stanley is a Professor of at the University of California–Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine. He is the Principal Chemist at the Kenneth L. Maddy Equine Analytical Chemistry Laboratory, California’s Official Drug Testing Laboratory for all racing horse events.
He has published over 115 research papers on equine anti-doping methods, veterinary pharmacokinetics, toxicology and veterinary drug compounding. He maintains an active analytical chemistry research laboratory involved in the steroid profiling methods, and investigation of veterinary drugs produced by veterinary compounding pharmacies. Since opening in 2000, the K.L. Maddy Laboratory has established itself as one of the largest and most respected Anti-Doping and Equine Pharmacology Research programs.
