INTENDED USE: Growth and expression of Agrobacterium. YM Medium improves transformation efficiency for electroporation of Agrobacterium by up to 40-fold when compared with LB broth. Also, no aggregation of Agrobacterium was observed when YM Medium was used in culturing the bacteria for plant infection. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Suspend contents of 1 packet in 1 L of demineralized water. Autoclave for 15 min at 121°C. To prepare YM agar: Suspend contents of 1 packet in 1 L of demineralized water. Add 15 g of SELECT Agar and boil while stirring to dissolve all ingredients completely. Autoclave for 15 min at 121°C. Cool down to 50C before adding antibiotics (optional) and pouring into plates. RECOMMENDED STORAGE CONDITION: 15°C TO 30°C.
