One Lambda HLA PRO, an automated pipetting system for a busy and evolving laboratory can provide a more efficient and flexible option for multiple workflows. Standalone workflows are available that can support NGS library preparation and bead based assays. This system is easily scalable to accommodate variations in sample load while enabling assay precision and consistency.

A user-friendly interface and walk-away capability liberate laboratory staff from repetitive tasks allowing them to focus on their next priority.

Features

Flexibility - single deck layout for multiple assay automation. Different technologies on one instrument can keep costs and maintenance time low and provide the capability for various workflows.

Accuracy - excellent liquid-level detection and low-volume pipetting for up to 384 samples per run (for bead-based assay automation and 192 sample results per run for NGS sample prep automation).

Easy-To-Use - an intuitive software interface facilitates quick and efficient setup. The touchscreen tool provides visual confirmation for reagent and assay setup at every step of the process.

Let's take a look inside

The modular system offers flexibility by accommodating different workflows on a single instrument, allowing laboratories to automate multiple technologies cost-effectively.

One worktable for all workflows

Capability of multiple workflows on one platform without any modifications or recalibration to the worktable.

The system is designed to minimize its footprint in the lab with below-the-deck storage for the centrifuge and waste receptacles. An air-displacement pipettor also eliminates the need for bulky liquid waste containers.

Touch tool screen

The touch tool software offers users step-by-step instructions for loading and visual guidance for placing racks, trays, and tips. The racks come fully barcoded for efficient reagent tracking.

Platform overview

Plates and tips are loaded in the hotel rack at the back of instrument. Reagent troughs have designated slots and guidance provided with touch screen. Tip and liquid waste stations are designed with efficiency. A shaker and access to the centrifuge round off functionality.

Robotic arms

The capability for simultaneous movement of two arms; Flexible Channel Arm for the tips and Gripper Arm for plate pick up enables faster processes. The different gripper finger designs at the "Exchange reader" provides options for various plate capabilities, providing functionality and flexibility for testing procedures

NGS components

NGS reagent rack for vials and lids allows efficient storage.

Magnetic tray for washing steps and filtered tips can be used for NGS assays.

Thermal cycler

The automated cycler is included with both bead-based and NGS options.

Tip box types are switched out for different assays, enabling a quick turnaround for laboratory staff with no additional changes or calibration for another set up.

Utlizing LABScan3D for bead-based assays

This configuration enables a LABScan3D to be connected to the HLA PRO, supporting the automation provcess from set up to the reading of the tray. The swivel platform design provides access to LABScan3D for maintenance and servicing.

Centrifuge

The configuration has been designed for efficient use of space in the laboratory – the centrifuge is located bleow the work deck  and protected within a closed cabinet.

Plates can be lowered down into the centrifuge with a custom counterbalance, to support multiple assays and sample numbers.

It is easily accessible for cleaning and scheduled maintenance and servicing.
