Medicinal marijuana (Cannabis) is currently legal in more than 18 states in the United States. Cannabis is one of the most widely used illicit drugs in the world and is associated with a variety of mental health problems, especially in youths. Cannabis is a complex plant that contains over 540 chemical entities of which more than 60 are cannabinoid compounds, some with opposing effects.
