Webinar: Identify and Quantify Microplastics in the Environment

Fabiana Corami, PhD, from the CNR-ISP, Institute of Polar Sciences Venice, Italy, is an environmental researcher interested in the sources and impact microplastics have on our environment. In this webinar she walks us through how she analyzes environmental samples like water and sediment, and biota samples for microplastic contamination from 1 nm in size to 15 mm.

In addition, she discusses each analysis, purification, filtration and how she distinguishes between different types of polymers to understand impact and contaminant sources. At the end of the webinar she answers several “frequently asked questions”.
