Nicolet iN5 FTIR overview

Quickly identify unknown materials and contaminants that may affect product quality. The Thermo Scientific Nicolet iN5 FTIR Microscope provides rapid identification with point-and-shoot simplicity. The no-nonsense workflow requires only a few short steps. You can get answers in minutes—without the need for spectroscopy or microscopy expertise. Simply see it, scan it, and solve it. Built for the demands of the busy QA/QC lab, the Nicolet iN5 Microscope is designed to provide reliable operation for years, across multiple users and product analysis needs.

Capabilities

Rapid identification with point-and-shoot simplicity. The Nicolet iN5 FTIR Microscope is designed with with extreme ease of use in mind - walk up and get answers in minutes with fast, manual, point and shoot operation. With operations as simple as a regular light microscope, the Nicolet iN5 is designed to be always ready and maintenance free, offering reliability you can depend upon.

See it. Scan it. Solve it. See it—permanently-aligned optics, high-powered LED illumination, and binocular and video viewing options provide you with a clear image of your sample. Scan it—multiple collection modes (transmission, reflection, and ATR) allow you to quickly obtain high-quality data from your sample. Solve it—identify your sample with extensive databases in real time, for quick and confident answers.

The Nicolet iN5 FTIR Microscope features a robust design and an optical setup that allows you to simultaneously view your sample while collecting chemical information– which guarantees the data is from the area you are viewing. Its large field of view makes it easy to locate and target your contaminants and gives you the spatial resolution necessary to perform chemical analysis pinpoint accuracy.  The microscope utilizes Thermo Scientific OMNIC Software, which offers an extensive set of libraries for fast, confident compound identification.
