Gathering big data, with minimal effort

Digital transition is predicated on the availability of big data. Online analyzers empower organizations to switch from periodic off-line analysis, providing a solution for measuring with the speed and frequency needed in the age of digitized operations. Generating such data is the first step towards next generation efficiency and productivity.

PGNAA/PTFNA: Penetrating real-time elemental analysis for conveyor belt and slurry applications

Prompt gamma neutron activation analysis (PGNAA) and pulsed fast thermal neutron activation (PTFNA) bring distinctive value in mining, cement, coal, and sintering applications by measuring lighter elements such as calcium, sulfur, silicon, and aluminum. The penetrating nature of gamma rays makes analysis independent of particle size (up to around 500mm for conveyor belt applications).

We are PGNAA/PTFNA pioneers with expertise that sets the benchmark for successful application of this powerful technique.

Energy dispersive XRF: Cost-efficient real-time elemental analysis

Energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (XRF) technology measures elements from calcium through to uranium in slurries. A sub-surface analysis technique, it has an established track record of online applications across the processing industries.

We’ve integrated XRF technology with slurry samplers to deliver integrated solutions for accurate and representative measurements within the required interval.

Gamma attenuation: Contact-free, real-time density and percentage solids measurement

Gamma attenuation enables continuous, non-intrusive density and percent solids loading measurement for applications across the mineral processing, petrochemical, coal, food, water treatment, and pulp/paper industries. The non-contact nature of the technique makes it especially suitable for applications involving toxic or corrosive materials and/or operating at elevated temperatures.

Ultrasonic attenuation: Real-time particle size measurement without sample dilution

Ultrasonic attenuation enables the fast and continuous measurement of particles in the size range 1 - 1000µm in continuously flowing slurry samples with no requirement for sample dilution in many applications. It has proven particularly successful for wet grinding circuit control providing up to 5 size fractions. The technique’s ability to simultaneously determine percent solids with high accuracy is an added benefit for many applications.
