Cold Vapor Atomic Florescence is a highly sensitive measurement method employed in a Mercury Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS). This is just one of the techniques used to measure such low concentrations in the U.S., and there are many parallels to the recent European directives for Large Combustion Plants and Waste Incinerators. The need for lower level performance and qualification, as has been seen by the regulations and implementation in the U.S. and E.U. alike, is on the increase as the global community looks to decrease Hg emissions to their lowest level into the future.

Total Reduced Sulfur (TRS)

The Thermo Scientific Continuous Emissions Monitoring System for Total Reduced Sulfur measures total reduced sulfur using field-proven, pulsed fluorescence technology packaged into a continuous emissions system suited for the application need. Originally, designed to meet the needs of the pulp and paper industry in complying with the regulatory requirements of 40 CFR part 60 as set forth by the U.S. EPA, the system meets a the needs of customers in different geographical regions for measuring TRS.

Particulate Matter CEMS

The Thermo Scientific Particulate Matter Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS), featuring a dual measurement method provides a true mass concentration traceable to NIST standards in meeting stringent accuracy requirements that facilitate successful audits and reduce regulatory risk.
