Gene therapy is an exciting industry that is progressing rapidly with many scientists and researchers looking to commercialize biologics for therapeutic solutions. Our Gibco media can provide support as you scale up production of viral vector-based molecules for use in your therapeutic strategies. We are well-equipped, as pioneers and leaders in media manufacturing, scalable solutions, and format conversion to help efficiently meet your needs no matter the scale.
Achieve the next level in performance efficiency with the Gibco Bacto CD Supreme FPM, which offers a commercially available, chemically defined media to support robust plasmid production. Bacto CD Supreme Medium can help you improve lot-to-lot consistency, reduce handling, raw material management, and weighing and blending time, and help decrease the risk of contamination.
With years of proven results, the Gibco F17 Expression Medium has become a standard in the gene therapy industry. This chemically defined, protein-free, serum-free medium was developed to support the growth and transfection of suspension HEK293 cells. 293-F, 293-H, and FreeStyle 293-F cells in suspension can be cultured directly into FreeStyle F17 Expression Medium without adaptation.
HEK293T AAV8 viral genome titer and percentage full capsids. (A) Panel media 1 and 5 yielded comparable average titers when evaluated with FreeStyle F17 Expression Medium. (B) Analysis of the average percentage of full capsids showed that panel medium 1 produced 76% full capsids compared to 51% with FreeStyle F17 Expression Medium and 40% with panel medium 5. (Testing was conducted in biological triplicate.)
Gibco Viral Production Medium, AGT, is the dry-format version of CTS Viral Production Medium, a chemically defined, serum-free, protein-free, animal origin-free, phenol red-free medium that is part of the CTS AAV-MAX Helper-Free AAV Production System for high-titer adeno-associated virus (AAV) production.
