Use our oligo calculators to determine volumes needed to resuspend your DNA oligos to desired concentrations, estimate the percentage of full-length product for different oligo lengths, and calculate final yield based on oligo length, synthesis scale, and purification method.
This resuspension calculator calculates the volume needed to resuspend an oligo, given that nmol and desired concentration are known.
Term | Number |
---|---|
Oligo yield (nmol, from COA) | |
Desired concentration (µM or µmol/L) | |
Volume required (µL) | ... |
This calculates the estimated percentage of full-length product based on the oligo's length.
Term | Number |
---|---|
Oligo length (nt) | |
Chem. reaction efficiency (typically 98–99% efficient) | 99% |
% Full length product | ... |
This estimates nmol based on the minimum yield guaranteed* for a given oligo length (nt) and synthesis scale.
Enter your oligo length to populate the yields below.
Term | Number |
---|---|
Oligo length (nt) | |
Approx. mol. weight (daltons or g/mol) | ... |
pmol in 1 µg of primer | ... |
The amounts calculated in the table below represent an approximation of the minimum amount of unmodified oligo you will receive based on oligo length (nt), synthesis scale, and purification method.
Minimum yields are guaranteed based on OD units, while nmol amount can vary based on the exact sequence of your oligo. For the best estimate of minimum nmol yield, we recommend building your oligo in our Custom DNA Oligo Ordering Tool.

*When ordering custom oligos, remember that the scale of synthesis (25 nmol, 50 nmol, 200 nmol, 1 µmol, or 10 µmol) is the starting point for synthesis, not the guaranteed final amount. Oligonucleotide length, sequence, GC content, and coupling efficiencies can vary the yield of nmol amounts post-synthesis. Thermo Fisher Scientific guarantees the total yield of unmodified oligos as a minimum number of OD units. Purification by HPLC, PAGE, and cartridge will also affect final product yield.
