BenchPro® 2100 Plasmid Purification SystemStraight-from-culture automation
|
The BenchPro® 2100 Plasmid Purification System is an innovative, automation that provides a completely walk-away solution for high quality purification of your large-scale plasmid DNA. Going straight from culture to purified plasmid, it simplifies the traditional, 22-step process of manual plasmid purification down to four easy set-up steps.
With a less than 5-minute set-up time, the BenchPro® 2100 delivers large scale, transfection-grade plasmid DNA for all of your downstream application needs.
The BenchPro® 2100 Plasmid Processing Station is our instrument that provides a single, automated program capable of processing up to 1 mg of plasmid DNA from only 125 mL of E.Coli culture for one or two maxipreps at a time. The BenchPro® 2100 Plasmid Purification Card is a disposable, fluidics card that contains a novel anion-exchange membrane, guaranteeing the same, trusted, high-quality plasmid DNA as our manual PureLink™ HiPure kits provide for applications such as transfection of mammalian cells, automated and manual sequencing, PCR amplification, cloning, transformation, and in vitro transcription. The BenchPro® 2100 system is able to reproducibly purify a range of plasmid sizes all the way from from 2.7 to 20 kb from (Figure 1). In addition, the BenchPro® 2100 system outperforms the major competitor’s plasmid maxiprep kits when it comes to yield (Figure 2).
The BenchPro® 2100 Plasmid Purification System is designed to provide consistency and reliability by using prefilled and sealed reagents. All required buffers in appropriate volumes are supplied in a sealed Reagent Tray while a disposable Cell Liner with lid is included for addition of the culture. The BenchPro® 2100 Plasmid Purification System accurately performs all steps of the purification process to deliver consistent yield (Figure 3) but eliminates the tedious and repetitive liquid-handling steps associated with the manual process of plasmid purification. During the automated purification protocol, the appropriate amounts of reagents are pumped into the card, and incubation steps are performed per the protocol. Using a series of capture and purification membranes, E. coli cells are harvested and lysed, and the lysate is clarified. By eliminating hands on steps, which promote human errors, the BenchPro® 2100 Plasmid Purification System enhances experimental reproducibility and data consistency run after run.
