Soak and wash reusable pipets with the Nalgene pipet cleaning system. Choose the jar, basket and washer set that best fits your pipets, or purchase the three pieces separately and make your own configuration. Components with like-lettered size codes are optimized to work best together.
→ Fill the pipet jar with your desired soaking solution and insert the matching pipet basket. Basket has a perforated bottom to allow filling and draining.
→ Drop soiled pipets into the basket (tip up) and they will fill and soak until the basket is full of pipets and you're ready to wash them.
→ To wash, transfer the basket of pipets into the pipet washer. Place the pipet washer on the counter next to the sink and attach the fill tube to the water tap; direct the drain tube into the sink drain. Turn on the tap water at a steady rate to fill the washer. Once the washer full, it will automatically empty by siphoning the water down the drain. Allow the washer to refill and drain repeatedly until the pipets are clean (usually 3-5 cycles). Then, turn off the tap and move the water fill tube to your DI water tap. Turn on the DI water and rinse the pipets for three more cycles.
→ When rinsing is complete, turn off the water supply, remove the basket from the washer and allow the pipets to dry.
