Applied Biosystems TaqMan SNP Genotyping Assay Sets are pre-defined collections of predesigned and custom TaqMan SNP Genotyping Assays derived from public databases and published articles. Predefined sets of assays greatly simplify analysis of a particular target class or pathway. The assays are delivered in individual tubes ready for loading into a 96- or 384-well plate (depending on assay set chosen). Simply add master mix and sample to start the analysis.
Note: if you do not see an assay of interest included in a set, you can find it using the Assay Search.

Coronavirus Host Factor Set | Research studies are revealing the human genetic factors that contribute to the spectrum of coronavirus susceptibility and severity observed in different populations. To help expedite research on these critical factors, Thermo Fisher Scientific has collated information from the literature regarding these SNPs into one resource. This worksheet includes assay IDs and ordering information for these SNPs, dbSNP and gene details, and references to the relevant publications. To learn more, see: |
Ancestry Informative Marker Set | The Seldin Lab at UC Davis and collaborators identified, validated, and characterized a set of 128 ancestry informative markers (AIMs) to provide a resource for assessing continental ancestry in a wide variety of genetic studies. To learn more, see:
|
Universal Individual Identification Set | The Kidd Lab at Yale is currently working on identifying SNPs for universal identification. These SNPs have applications in forensics, paternity testing, and sample identification in large biomedical, association, and epidemiologic studies. To learn more, see:

Cytochrome P450 Set | Many researchers have contributed to lists of pharmacogenomics-relevant polymorphisms in the cytochrome p450 family of genes. To learn more, see:

P. falciparum Molecular Bar Code Set (Custom Assays) | Dr. Wiegand's lab at Broad Institute and his collaborators developed the Plasmodium falciparum (parasite that causes malaria) Molecular Bar Code Set leveraging genome-wide diversity data to create a concise and unique signature for every P. falciparum parasite genome.
