Thermo Scientific PEPotec Immuno Peptide Libraries are fully synthetic custom libraries that support high-throughput screening assays to map epitopes or identify immunogenic sites in proteins. These libraries are fully customizable and contain an acetate counter ion to avoid potential toxicity in epitope discovery and mapping. These application-specific peptide libraries can be used in applications such as vaccine development, T- and B-cell research, antibody development, biomarker discovery, and kinase and protease studies.

Manufacturing scale | 1 mg |
Purity options | Crude (as synthesized) |
Formulation | Lyophilized |
Production time | 3-4 weeks |
Quality control* | Mass spectrometry (MS), 100% of samples |
C-terminus residue | Any unmodified L-isoform amino acid |
Counterion | Acetate |
Delivery format | Peptides are provided in individual 2-D barcoded tubes in 96-tube plates |
Minimum order | 24 peptides |
Shipment | Dry at room temperature |
* For all peptides except phosphopeptides, the three major peaks in the MS analysis represent the target of interest. Peptides must pass both the MS analysis and the final gross weight criteria (1 mg) before shipment. If peptides do not pass these criteria, the customer will be informed and one resynthesis will be offered free of charge.
PEPotec Immuno Peptide Libraries are fully customizable and supplied with acetate as the counterion to avoid potential toxicity issues in epitope discovery and mapping. These application-specific peptide libraries are ready to use in applications such as vaccine development, T and B cell research, antibody development, and biomarker discovery. Optional peptide modifications are available, including residue phosphorylation and acetylation, and different formulations are possible that enable study of cellular signaling events.
A. The shelf life is >24 months at -20°C for lyophilized peptides protected by argon in the original non open container. This is sequence dependent and it may be shorter for some sequences.
A. We are synthesizing our PEPotec using the solid phase Fmoc synthesis on resin. Most of our competitors use the spot technology providing poor quality peptides above 15 amino acids.
For peptide synthesis ~2.4% of the peptides submitted, due to difficult sequence were unable to be synthesized. Most of our competitors announce on their web site 5%.
A. The ability to synthesize the peptide and its solubility, stability, and overall charge are discussed in the Protein Biology Learning Center under the Peptide Design.
