Overview of protein quantitation reagents

Mass spectrometry can detect very low analyte concentrations in complex mixtures. It can be quantitative with the use of peptide labels or standards that are concomitantly analyzed with the sample and act as a reference point for both relative or absolute analyte quantitation, respectively. We offer three different systems that can be applied to solve a wide variety of biological problems. Relative quantitation strategies include tandem mass tagging (TMT) and stable isotope labeling using amino acids in cell culture (SILAC). For both relative and absolute quantitation, SureQuant assays are designed for multiplexed targeted quantitation for key cellular signaling proteins.
