NanoDrop One/OneC spectrophotometers come with a standard 2-year factory warranty, while all other NanoDrop instruments come with a standard 1-year factory warranty. During the system warranty period, all costs for shipping, labor, and parts for repairs are covered. Preventive maintenance is not included.
Many customers in the US and Canada choose to purchase an extended warranty (also called a service plan), which takes effect when the factory warranty expires, extends the term for one or more additional years, and includes preventive maintenance. A service plan can:
For NanoDrop customers in the US and Canada, all service is performed at our depot in Madison, WI. The service plan includes annual customer-scheduled planned maintenance with priority turnaround times. Parts, labor, and shipping for your repairs are included.

If your instrument is covered under a factory warranty or service plan, parts, labor, and shipping are covered at no extra charge. Otherwise, you can pay for service with a purchase order or credit card.
You can add qualification services to complement your service plan. Instrument hardware qualifications for the NanoDrop One/OneC, NanoDrop Eight, and other spectrophotometers document and verify that the instrument or software is installed and operating properly.
Instrument qualification (IQ) provides documented evidence and verification that the instrument has been delivered and installed according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
Operational qualification (OQ) provides documented verification that the instrument subsystems are operating as designed, and verifies that the functionality of an instrument meets the manufacturer’s operational specifications.
IQ and OQ are recommended at installation, after moving the instrument, after software or hardware upgrades, and after planned maintenance or critical repairs. Our qualification specialists will partner with you to deliver timely, cost-effective, and trusted qualification services that include reliable, audit-style documentation that will help ensure your instruments meet regulatory requirements.

Performance of any NanoDrop instrument can be assessed using the appropriate performance or calibration accessory:
NanoDrop instruments are not user serviceable. If service is required, all service to NanoDrop instruments is performed, and any new parts are installed, by our trained service technicians at our service depot in Madison, WI.

We do not send NanoDrop technicians to customer sites for instruments located in the United States and Canada. All service must be completed at our service depot in Madison, WI.
Turnaround time for domestic US service is generally 48–72 hours upon receipt of your instrument at our service facility. Response time for service to Canadian instruments is approximately two days longer, depending on time spent in Customs in either direction. FedEx weather delays can also extend the turnaround time.
If your instrument is covered under a factory warranty or service plan, parts, labor, and shipping are covered at no extra charge. Otherwise, you can pay for service with a purchase order or credit card. We accept Master Card, Visa, and American Express.
Unless your instrument is covered under a factory warranty or service plan, the cost for service does not include any parts. If a part replacement is needed, we will contact you to obtain your authorization to replace the part.
NanoDrop One/OneC, NanoDrop Eight, NanoDrop Lite Plus, NanoDrop 2000/2000c, NanoDrop 8000, and NanoDrop Lite instruments all need to be shipped in their original shipping box and packing foam. If you do not have those materials, we will send you a box and packing foam at no charge.
The NanoDrop 3300 can be shipped in any box you may have available. Suggested box dimensions are 12 in x 9 in x 10 in.
Upon confirmation of payment method, we will provide you with a shipping label and shipping instructions. Alternatively, we will waive the shipping cost if you decide to use your own carrier.
If you specifically request it when setting up service, we can provide results of a Performance Verification before and after the service.
A report is shipped back with each instrument listing the services that were performed and any parts that were replaced. We also provide you with an Instrument Certification Sheet which shows that the instrument passed recalibration and recertification.
