The Paracelsus Software from ACT Innovations drives the entire testing process. This begins with automated scheduling of participants, randomization of tests and full chain of custody along the entire workflow from sample collection to reporting of the results within Drug Court Case Management (DCCM) systems.

How to read and interpret the results: Urine drug screen cups provide a qualitative screening positive or negative result. A more specific alternative method such as LC-MS/MS or GC-MS must be used for a confirmed analytical result.
Ensuring validity of the test: There should always be a line corresponding to the control line (C). If this is not there, the test is invalid.
Positive result: No line corresponding to the test strip (T) indicates a positive result.
Negative result: Faint line or a clear line corresponding to the test strip (T) indicates a negative result.
Limitations of the test:
Where indicated, Drug Tests (Strip/Card/Device/Cup) are for professional in vitro diagnostic use, and should be only used for the qualitative detection of drugs of abuse. This assay provides a preliminary analytical test result only. A more specific alternative chemical method such as LC-MS/MS or GC/MS must be used in order to obtain a confirmed analytical result. Clinical consideration and professional judgment should be applied to any test result, particularly when preliminary positive results are indicated. There is a possibility that technical or procedural errors as well as other substances and factors may interfere with the test and cause false results.
