Our cell dissociation reagents help you prepare a desired number of cells and plate them so that they are healthy, proliferating, and in a desired confluency at the time of transfection.
Select cell dissociation reagent type
For adherent cell culture, choose from trypsin and trypsin alternatives to dissociate cultured cells into single cells.
Choose from manual and automated options to quickly and accurately count cells while minimizing user variation associated with counting.
Select manual or automated counting method
The Invitrogen Countess 3 Automated Cell Counter uses advanced machine-learning image analysis algorithms to deliver accurate cell counts and viability in less than 30 seconds. Find disposable Countess Cell Counting Chamber Slide, the Countess Reusable Slide, stains and other accessories for Countess 3 Automated Cell Counter.
Choose culture dishes, media, sera, and supplements to plate your cells and get them ready for transfection.
Select cell plating product type
Successful transfection is influenced by many factors—the choice of the transfection method, health and viability of the cell line, number of passages, degree of confluency, quality and quantity of the nucleic acid used, and the presence or absence of serum in the medium can all play a part in the outcome of your transfection experiment. While it is possible to optimize specific transfection conditions to achieve high transfection efficiencies, it is important to note that some cell death is inevitable regardless of the transfection method used.
