Decreasing the environmental footprint and helping to reduce the amount of waste generated in the life science industry is important to Thermo Fisher Scientific and our customers. With this in mind, we are changing the shipping conditions from cold to ambient (non-insulated) for many of our Thermo Scientific DNA ladders.

This shipping strategy reduces the amount of packaging your order requires, which helps save energy, decreases waste, and eases shipping and handling requirements. We have conducted rigorous testing to help ensure that this change in shipping will not adversely affect your experiments. What will you receive?

DNA ladders and items that need freezer storageAn insulated shipping box with dry ice for the freezer storage items. The DNA ladders may be included in that container to avoid shipment of multiple containers and the generation of additional waste. 
DNA ladders and some polymerases and/or Taq products A non-insulated (ambient) shipping box. Many other similar products are already shipping in this format. See the Ambient Shipping page for details. 

For long-term stability, please continue to store your DNA ladders between –10°C and –30°C after you receive them.
