Imegen™ RapidFinder™ Meat ID Detection Kits have been developed in collaboration with Imegen to create a broad portfolio of real-time PCR-based animal species detection and quantification solutions. Among others, the range includes assay kits for beef, poultry, ruminant, equine and pork DNA in food and feed samples. The assays provide very high sensitivity with a limit of detection (LOD) below the officially required level of 0.1%.

The RapidFinder™ Quant Multi-Meat Set, when used with one or more of the RapidFinder™ Meat ID kits, enables the simple and reliable determination of the percentage of a target meat species with respect to total meat in food and feed samples. The method involves detection of target species DNA by real-time PCR.
