True to its name, the High-Capacity cDNA synthesis kits produce high quality first-strand cDNA from total RNA. The High-Capacity cDNA Reverse Transcription Kit (formerly the High-Capacity cDNA Archive Kit) is designed for synthesizing cDNA for short- or long-term archiving. The kits yield quantitative reverse transcription products from RNA inputs ranging between 0.02 and 2 μg in a 20 μL reaction; it can be scaled up to 10 μg of input RNA in a 100 μL reaction. Downstream applications include real-time PCR, standard PCR, and labeling for microarray analysis.
The High-Capacity cDNA reverse transcription kits are available in multiple formats:
The High-Capacity RNA-to-cDNA kit consolidates the reagents for reverse transcription reaction into two tubes: 2X RT buffer mix and 20X enzyme mix, which contains reverse transcriptase and RNase inhibitor. These components have been optimized to provide high cDNA yields for real-time gene expression analysis. The two-tube format streamlines the workflow by minimizing the number of pipetting steps and is designed for optimum performance in real-time PCR with TaqMan Fast Advanced Master Mix and PowerUp SYBR Green Master Mix.
For exceptional performance, explore SuperScript IV Reverse Transcriptase—available as a standalone enzyme, first-strand cDNA synthesis kit, master mix for qRT-PCR applications, and one-step RT-PCR system to suit all your research needs.
