Specialty TaqMan array plates

Use our Specialty Plating service if you need 384-well TaqMan array plates or if you need custom TaqMan Assays plated on your 96-well plates.  96-well plates containing predesigned TaqMan Gene Expression assays can easily be configured and ordered online.

TaqMan Specialty plates offer the convenience of TaqMan Assays pre-plated according to your specifications. This can significantly reduce pipetting error and overall effort in loading your plate and analyzing your samples. Just tell us how you want to configure your plate and we will manufacture it. When your specialty-plated TaqMan Assays arrive, simply add your sample and master mix, and start thermal cycling.

Specialty TaqMan array plates are available in these formats and formulations:

  • 96- or 384-well plates
  • 4–20 µL final reaction volume
  • Same-well multiplexing
  • All TaqMan assay types are supported: gene expression, Advanced miRNA, classic chemistry miRNA, SNP genotyping, DME, copy number variation, and mutation detection. You can even mix multiple applications on the same plate.
  • Custom and predesigned assays
  • Assays dried onto the plate or in liquid format
  • Any dye or custom formulation requiring our Specialty Assays and Oligos service
  • MicroAmp Optical 0.1-mL and 0.2-mL 96-well plates for use with a wide range of instruments including the StepOnePlus, 7500, 7900HT, ViiA 7, and QuantStudio 6/7 Pro and 6/7/12K Flex real-time PCR systems
  • MicroAmp EnduraPlate fast 0.1-mL and standard 0.2-mL 96-well plates for use with Bio-Rad™ and Agilent™/Strategene™ real-time PCR systems

Specialty TaqMan array cards

Use our Specialty service if you need TaqMan array cards containing custom TaqMan Assays, or if you want a layout not supported by our online configurator tool.  Inventoried and made-to-order gene expression TaqMan array cards are available for specific pathways, and custom TaqMan array cards using predesigned TaqMan Gene Expression assays can be configured online. TaqMan array cards containing predesigned TaqMan miRNA assays can also be configured online.  Both classic chemistry TaqMan miRNA assays and TaqMan Advanced miRNA assays are supported.

Our TaqMan array card is a 384-well microfluidic card designed for performing 384 simultaneous real-time PCR reactions without the need for expensive liquid-handling automation. TaqMan array cards are preloaded with dried-down, high-quality TaqMan Assays (TaqMan probes and PCR primer sets), ready for 1 to 8 samples to be run in parallel against 12 to 384 TaqMan Assay targets.

How to order Specialty TaqMan array plates or cards

Work with our Specialty team or your sales representative to order your plates or cards.

For Specialty plate orders:

  1. Download and fill out the Custom Plating Service Request Form.
  2. Email the completed form to Specialty_Plates@thermofisher.com or contact your sales representative. One of our representatives will contact you in approximately 2–3 days to discuss your order.

Plates typically ship within 3–5 weeks following order placement.

For Specialty card orders:

  1. Download and fill out the Specialty TaqMan Array Card Request form.
  2. Email the completed form to Specialty_Cards@thermofisher.com or contact your sales representative. One of our representatives will contact you in approximately 2–3 days to discuss your order.

Specialty cards typically ship within 5–7 weeks following order placement.

Specialty TaqMan OpenArray Plates
OpenArray technology is an affordable real-time PCR -based format that minimizes reagent use and helps greatly decrease the price per data point, so more samples can be run within the same budget. One OpenArray plate can hold as many samples as eight traditional 384-well plates.

Specialty TaqMan OpenArray plates are available in these formats and formulations:

  • Many TaqMan assay types are supported: gene expression, Advanced miRNA, classic chemistry miRNA, SNP genotyping, DME, and copy number variation
  • Custom and predesigned assays
  • TaqMan OpenArray plates are compatible with the Applied
  • Biosystems QuantStudio 12K Flex Real-Time PCR System using an OpenArray block

Preconfigured and flexible content gene expression OpenArray plates are available for specific pathways, and custom TaqMan OpenArray plates using predesigned and/or custom TaqMan Gene Expression Assays can be configured online. In addition, TaqMan OpenArray plates containing predesigned TaqMan SNP Genotyping Assays can be configured online.

Use our Specialty service if you need TaqMan OpenArray plates using a layout not supported by our online configurator tool.

How to order specialty TaqMan OpenArray plates:
