Dr. Sheng Zhang, Director, Proteomics Facility and Metabolomics Facility, Cornell University
Sheng received his MS and MD from Medical College of Zhejiang University, China. He came to Cornell University for his postdoc studies at Department of Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology. He started his proteomics research as an Application Scientist at Advion BioSciences. He has been the Director of Cornell Proteomics Facility since 2004, and become the Director of Proteomics and Metabolomics Facility since 2017.
Sheng provides consultation and assisting to Cornell campus-wide researchers in LC-MS based proteomics and metabolomics experimental design, execution and relevant technology training. His research interest is to develop and implement new proteomics/metabolomics workflows for biomarker discovery and characterization of protein post-translational modifications and protein complexes towards understanding cellular metabolism pathways and mechanisms in Alzheimer’s disease.
