Invitrogen iBright precast gel electrophoresis analysis software

Invitrogen iBright Analysis Software is precast gel electrophoresis analysis software that offers a convenient way to analyze the DNA bands on E-Gel precast agarose gels. Images captured as .g2i format can be imported directly from E-Gel Power Snap Plus device or from a computer for analysis. iBright Analysis Software supports image analysis of both 96-well and 48-well precast gels.

iBright Analysis Software, compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems, is available as a cloud-based solution via the Thermo Fisher Connect platform and as a free desktop application.

Image deconvolution capabilities

The iBright Analysis Software has image deconvolution. This allows the user to align the lanes and read the results better. The 96-well E-Gels have a staggered well distribution for optimal running distance; with the iBright Analysis Software users can reconstruct the 96-well E-Gel images into a linear format for readability. The user can also adjust the frames utilized for deconvolution, to get the best fit for things like like contrast and brightness.


Gel electrophoresis band analysis

iBright Analysis Software detects the DNA bands on the gel and analyzes their intensity. The software has multiple user adjustment settings, and the data on band intensities can be exported in a spreadsheet.


Gel electrophoresis image analysis and report creation

The intuitive and user-friendly iBright Analysis Software includes features such as, organizing and editing the reconstructed images, storing data from precast gel electrophoresis image analysis, and creating reports.

E-Editor precast gel electrophoresis analysis software

E-Editor 2.0 Software is gel electrophoresis analysis software for analyzing images of stained precast gels and blots of E-PAGE gels and E-Gels. The E-Editor 2.0 software is available as a desktop application compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems.

E-Editor 2.0 software is included with the purchase of E-Gel or E-PAGE 96 gels and related equipment. Download a copy of the E-Editor 2.0 software and manual below.

Windows

E-Editor Version 2.0 for Windows, for configuring E-Gel and E-PAGE Gel Images: Compatible with Windows 98, NT, 2000 and XP.

Macintosh

E-Gel 96 Editor Version 1.5 for Macintosh, for configuring E-Gel 96 Gels: Compatible with OS 8.5 and above (OS X with OS 9 emulation only)

After installation on your computer, open your image file (.tif, .jpg, or .bmp) in the E-Editor 2.0 program, align the lanes, and arrange. Save the reconfigured image or copy and paste selected lanes into other applications for further analysis.


Gel electrophoresis analysis with E-Editor

The E-Editor 2.0 includes image editing features, such as:

  • Image reconstruction by re-aligning and re-arranging lanes of the precast gel for easy viewing
  • Options to save the reconstructed image for further analysis
  • Image integration to group multiple images for easy comparison

  • E-Editor or E-Gel 96 Editor Software is free to customers who purchase E-Gel gels, E-PAGE gels, and associated apparatus from Invitrogen.
  • E-Editor or E-Gel 96 Editor Software will be used only with E-Gel gels, E-PAGE gels, and associated apparatus and will be used only for the internal research use of customers who purchase E-Gel gels, E-PAGE gels and associated apparatus from Invitrogen.
  • E-Editor or E-Gel 96 Editor Software will not be copied, transferred or redistributed.
  • E-Editor or E-Gel 96 Editor Software or its output will not be used for any COMMERCIAL use (including, but not limited to, selling, renting, leasing, or for use in the provision of a service or other commercial offering).

You agree not to de-compile, disassemble, reverse-engineer, or in any way modify the software or merge it into another program.
