Invitrogen
Description: The rat IgG2b monoclonal antibody is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
Applications Reported: This Rat IgG2b K Isotype Control eFluor® 570 has been reported for use in immunohistochemical staining of frozen tissue sections, immunohistochemical staining of formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections, and immunocytochemistry.
Applications Tested: This Rat IgG2b K Isotype Control eFluor® 570 has been tested by immunocytochemistry on fixed and permeabilized cells. Use isotype control at same concentration as experimental antibody.
Filter Recommendation: When using this eFluor® 570 antibody conjugate, we recommend a filter that will capture the 570 emission wavelength (for example, Excitation 545/25, 565LP, Emission 605/70). A standard Alexa Fluor® 555 or TRITC filter is acceptable.
Excitation: 555 nm; Emission: 570 nm
Rat IgG2b is a protein-coding gene that encodes for the immunoglobulin G2b (IgG2b) subclass of rat antibodies. IgG2b is a major subclass of rat immunoglobulins that plays a crucial role in the immune response by neutralizing pathogens and promoting opsonization. Rat IgG2b is commonly used in research applications, such as in immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and Western blotting.
