Vanquish Online SPE HPLC and UHPLC Systems

Automated online sample preparation to save time and solvents.

Vanquish Online SPE HPLC and UHPLC Systems

Ensure confidence in complex sample analysis using the Thermo Scientific Vanquish Online SPE HPLC and UHPLC Systems. These systems perform analyte pre-concentration and sample clean-up using an automated, repeatable workflow while saving solvent and time compared to offline sample preparation steps. The system is configured using modules from the Vanquish Core HPLC, Vanquish Flex UHPLC or Horizon UHPLC systems, retaining all the performance, robustness and ease of use of the Vanquish LC platform.

Highlights

Greater confidence

Automated online solid-phase extraction (SPE) provides maximum repeatability and confidence for challenging samples by trapping and enriching the analyte to remove unwanted sample matrix, such as salts and other contaminants, before loading onto the analytical column.

Flexibility

The modularity of the Vanquish LC systems makes it easy to build a system to best meet your application requirements with flexibility to later upgrade a standard HPLC instrument to a more advanced configuration for more complex analyses.

Save time and resources

The automated workflow, with predefined trap and elution steps in the instrument method, allows for unattended sample analysis while reducing human error, saving time and solvent compared to offline approaches.

Easy and reliable tool-free connections

Vanquish Online SPE HPLC and UHPLC systems are fitted with Thermo Scientific Viper fingertight fittings, which support near-zero dead volume connections and enable sharper peaks and tool-free setup.

CDS software

The Vanquish HPLC and UHPLC systems seamlessly integrate with our Thermo Scientific Chromeleon Chromatography Data System (CDS) to deliver superior compliance tools, networking capabilities, automation and data processing.

What is online SPE for HPLC and UHPLC?

The online SPE system allows you to automate sample clean up to remove the sample matrix via a bidirectional trap column prior to being eluted for separation on the analytical column.

The flow scheme illustrates how the six-port valve is used to switch the trap column for sample loading and elution.
