Accessories

A wide range of accessories are available, contact our experts to discuss your requirements.

labHSU dual-channel module

The labHSU can be used as a frontend, as a module in a HEADlab system or as a stand-alone system by remote control via smartphone, tablet or the RC X remote. The labHSU headphone output offers standard equalization for various headphone types which enables aurally accurate monitoring of a recording directly on the device.

labCOMPACT12 and labCOMPACT24

labCOMPACT is a compact, simplified HEADlab system bringing together the basic functions of a controller with a multi-channel module. This module is ideal for multi-channel analysis in acoustic optimisation of household appliance and office equipment.

labCORE is the modular, all-in-one solution for high-precision voice and audio quality testing and tailored for the use the ACQUA software. Users can adapt the hardware platform exactly to individual test scenarios and flexibly expand it at any time as required. Applications include mobile phones, headphones, IoT devices like smart speakers or in-vehicle hands-free devices and ICC systems.

Flexibly expand the labCORE hardware platform to adapt it to your specific measurement purposes. This hardware platform is ideally suited for testing voice and audio quality of devices in various fields of applications and with different transmissions technologies.

The following extensions are available:

Analog modules

Digital and interfacing

Software extensions

  • coreBEQ (Code 7740), Binaural equalization
  • coreBEQ-Add (Code 7741), Additional binaural equalization
  • coreIP (Code 7770), Voice over IP extension
  • coreIP-IMP (Code 7771), VoIP impairment extension
  • coreIP-EVS (Code 7773), EVS extension
  • coreIP-OPUS (Code 7774), OPUS extension
  • coreIP-Alexa (Code 7775), Enables the hardware platform to act as an Amazon Alexa reference client

HIB I (Headset Interface Box) is used for voice and audio quality testing of headphones, headsets and the headset functionality of telephones, by serving as a reference interface.

HAC III is a probe coil combined with a handset positioner. The positioner has a large mounting area which enables it to accomodate all handset sizes. The probe coil then can verify the hearing aid compatibility of telephony handsets by measuring their magnetic coupling capabilities.

HPO is a lightweight and compact hardware to simulate a Plain Old Telephone System (POTS) terminal in order to test the POTS functionality of IP-based home gateways, DSL and cable modems as well as other devices with a POTS interface.

Directional testing

HRT I

HRT I is ideally suited for fully automated orientation-dependent acoustic tests, and the rotation unit of the turntable offers a 360° rotation range, which can be approached in 0.1° steps. The turntable rotates all kinds of test objects including telephony devices, video conferencing systems, loudspeakers, microphones or measurement equipment.

HRR I

HRR I is a motorised rotating reflector to influence the acoustic coupling between loudspeaker and microphones during acoustic tests, with users able to quickly change the acoustic echo path. For instance, in hands-free communication testing, identify and then optimise the system’s general communication quality and echo attenuation performance in a fully automated and repeatable way.

Analysis software

We offer comprehensive software solutions from HEAD Acoustics, and due to the modular structure of these software platforms, users can tailor specific solutions to their individual requirements.

  • Sound and vibration analysis
  • Telecommunication and audio analysis
